Beginning wedding planning can be overwhelming. There is so much to do. Over the next few weeks I will be blogging to help you through the beginning planning process.

- Decide on your budget
This is when you need to sit down with your fiance and decide how much you want to spend on your wedding. Create a guest list so you know how many guests you need to accommodate. Prioritize what aspect of the wedding day is most important to you. Do you want a small wedding but a big party? Do you want the designer wedding dress? Do you want beautiful photography? (The answer to this one is yes, and I’ll discuss ways to get this affordably.) Then research how much everything really costs. The final thing is decide when you want to get married. It is best to have a month in mind instead of date. This will help open up your options for venues.
2. Decide on a venue
This takes more research! First you want to decide on what style do you want for your wedding. There are some amazing venues for all types of styles. Are you looking for something more rustic, something more elegant, or something very intimate? From there decide on 2 or 3 venues that you want to visit that fit your style. Compare these venues to help you decide which is the best fit? Some venues allow you to have access all weekend, some venues you can’t get in until the morning of your wedding. Are these venues the right size for your guest list? If they are outdoor venues, is there a back-up plan in case of rain? Then also does the venue fit in your budget? Finally, have the venue’s availability help you choose your wedding date.
